Acro, Inc. (OTCBB: ACRI) has successfully completed the development of its new product, Acro-ANET, a specific tester and a trace-detector of Ammonium Nitrate. The white crystals of ammonium nitrate are commonly used in agriculture as high-nitrogen fertilizer. Unfortunately, this compound is also being used as an improvised explosive by terrorist organizations worldwide. It is the main component of ammonium nitrate fuel oil (ANFO), an increasingly popular component of improvised explosive devices.
Potential clients who are fighting global terror have informed Acro about their urgent need for the new tester, and Acro responded accordingly. “This new device significantly expands our product portfolio. It demonstrates our strategy of quickly responding to urgent needs with a broad variety of simple, inexpensive and highly reliable solutions for the intricate problems of explosives detection,” says Gadi Aner, Acro’s CEO.
Acro-ANET will become commercially available by the end of March 2010.

Acro’s Kits Will Be Used to Protect Popular, Live Event From Potential Terror Threats
Acro, Inc. (OTC.BB: ACRI), a manufacturer of explosive detection solutions for the homeland security market and related sectors, today announced the receipt of a purchase order for the Company’s ACRO-SET and ACRO-ETK explosive detection kits from a government agency for use at a global sporting event.
“Our kits will help prevent terror attacks at an event that is sure to attract people from all over the world,” said Gadi Aner, Chairman and CEO of Acro, Inc. “This represents Acro’s second order for the deployment of our products for a live event, and is a significant step in our growing global recognition, and sales expansion.”
The ACRO-SET is a sensitive, rapid and reliable kit for field detection and identification of trace explosives. Weighing about one-quarter pound, this kit contains the ACRO-PET, which detects improvised explosives such as TATP, and the ACRO-NET, which detects the entire range of the nitro explosives including all conventional explosives, the improvised ammonium nitrate, ANFO, and urea nitrate. Conveniently packed in a belt pouch, the Acro-SET is, in effect, a portable, inexpensive “micro-laboratory” for identification of all explosives by any law enforcement personnel.
The ACRO-ETK5 Plus is a highly sensitive, simple, rapid, precise and reliable operation that revolutionizes the detection and identification of explosives in the field for police and other security agencies.

New Offering Combines Market-Leading Enterprise Single Sign-On With Strong Authentication Solution
ActivIdentity Corporation(NASDAQ:ACTI - News), a global leader in strong authentication and credential management, today announced that with the launch of its new version of ActivIdentity SecureLogin Single Sign-On 6.2 customers can take advantage of a packaged solution which combines market-leading password management capabilities with strong authentication.
Customers facing challenges with static passwords, such as rising help desk costs, have turned to Enterprise Single Sign-On products to implement password management and streamline help desk operations. But password management creates even greater vulnerabilities when a single sign-on system uses a static password that can be easily shared or written down. ActivIdentity is uniquely positioned to offer organizations a complete solution that combines strong authentication and password management.
By offering ActivIdentity SecureLogin Single Sign-On as combined solution with ActivIdentity 4TRESS Authentication products, ActivIdentity is supporting the natural progression to stronger forms of authentication by organizations. The solution also reflects a broader industry view on the importance of combining single sign-on and strong authentication. Gartner recently shared this view in the June 2009 report ‘Versatile Authentication Servers and Services’ by Ant Allan, research vice president, who states that, “Some ESSO vendors provide extensible support for open and proprietary authentication methods. Such an ESSO tool might be considered as ‘Versatile Authentication Server lite.’”
Customers purchasing ActivIdentity 4TRESS AAA Server for Remote Access or ActivIdentity 4TRESS Authentication Server can install ActivIdentity SecureLogin Single Sign-On at no additional license cost (1). The new version of ActivIdentity SecureLogin Single Sign-On includes an advanced wizard, automating the scripting of many applications, as well as support for Windows 7.

ThreatMetrix, the fastest growing provider of device identification solutions for preventing online fraud, today announced that CyberSource Corporation (NASDAQ:CYBS – News), a leading provider of electronic payment, risk management, and payment security services, has partnered with ThreatMetrix to provide advanced device identification capabilities to customers using the CyberSource Decision Manager fraud management portal.
CyberSource Decision Manager includes over 200 pre-integrated fraud detection tests and services, a business rule editor, case management system, and analytics that help merchants to efficiently and accurately manage fraud. ThreatMetrix provides technology that not only digitally fingerprints, but also profiles the behavior of the device being used by an online buyer. This new, enhanced fingerprint can then be used in conjunction with other order attributes captured by Decision Manager to detect suspicious orders. Anomalies such as a fraudster trying to hide an IP address, or an order being initiated from a device engaged in questionable behavior (spamming, firewall scanning, e.g.) can be detected. In less than two seconds, the CyberSource Decision Manager system profiles an inbound order using the advanced ThreatMetrix fingerprinting technology and other pre-integrated validation tests. The system then automatically sorts the order for fulfillment, rejection or review, in accordance with business rules written by the merchant.
“Staying multiple steps ahead of fraudsters is a business imperative,” said Cory Siddens, product manager for CyberSource Decision Manager. “By partnering with ThreatMetrix, we’ve added another key detector to our fraud management portal — enabling merchants to better profile the true identity and behavior of devices being used to make purchases on their sites. In doing so, the new ThreatMetrix technology allows merchants to identify botnet attacks and detect more first-time fraud.”
“We’re pleased that CyberSource has turned to ThreatMetrix in its ongoing effort to provide merchants with the most technologically sophisticated and comprehensive fraud detection solutions,” said Reed Taussig, president and CEO, ThreatMetrix. “Our complementary solutions help merchants minimize the need for manual review and reduce fraud losses.”
